Kevin van der Perren to get gold in 2010 Olympics?


Kevin van der Perren of Belgium performs in the Short Program of Men's figure skating competition of Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games, 16 February in Vancouver's Pacific Coliseum. Kevin van der Perren born August 6, 1982 in Ninove, Belgium, is a Belgian figure skater. He is the 2007 & 2009 European bronze medalist and a six time (2000-2004, 2007) Belgian national champion. Van der Perren was the flag bearer for Belgium at the 2006 Winter Olympics. He is married to British skater Jenna McCorkell. As of January 2010 he was ranked 7th in the world. He was the flag bearer for Belgium at the 2006 Winter Olympics and Belgium at the 2010 Winter Olympics. The last time Belgium got Gold for figure skating, was for the pairs and it was in 1948. Could Belgium get gold? He does have a good chance since he is ranked 7th in the world! momsword.org is rooting for the Belgian skater! (because the owner is part Belgian!) His score was 72.90 while Evgeni Plushenko is number one right now with 90.85.
